Stuart Wanuck has been interested in photography for decades. Although he was trained in film photography, he now enjoys digital photography and achieving the almost instant gratification of his images.
My passion for photography now focuses on birds and birds in flight. The birds are indigenous to Florida – namely south east and south west corridors as well as the Everglades. These magnificent avians exhibit marked beauty of form and stealth of flight. I’ve found through many, many hours of shooting that a mix of extensive patience and spontaneity are necessary to capture these images. Generally, I’m rewarded with a photograph that justifies the long wait and diligence. I also enjoy and appreciate capturing landscapes and waterfalls – compositions that allow a slower pace and concentration on the magnificent views.
